There was no university established by the Portuguese government since their presence in the island for 450 years settle until they left the territory. The Indonesia's occupation in Portuguese Timor generated the various advance of education in most education sectors. The predominantly young Timorese have received education since the Indonesian era, and there are no issues of discrimination in accessing education in any location.
