Online Food Delivery Adoption and Business Performance of Food Enterprises in Lagawe, Ifugao

Abstract

By increasing market reach and enhancing client convenience, the rise of online meal delivery services has completely changed how food businesses operate. The adoption of online meal delivery services and their impact on the financial performance of food businesses in Lagawe, Ifugao, were investigated in this study. In particular, it included an overview of the businesses' characteristics, including their business type, years of operation, monthly sales, and use of online delivery services. Additionally, it evaluated firm performance in terms of financial, marketing, and operational aspects and ascertained the degree of online delivery trends.

 Purposive sampling was used to choose 70 owners and managers of food businesses for a descriptivecorrelational study design. A standardized questionnaire was used to collect the data, and Pearson ProductMoment Correlation, frequency, percentage, weighted mean, and standard deviation were used for analysis.

The majority of respondents ran carinderias, had been in business for one to three years, made less than ₱20,000 a month, and were already using internet delivery services, according to the results. Online meal ordering was substantially impacted by cashless payments, online menu visibility, social media promotions, discounts, delivery efficiency, and customer reviews, according to the respondents. Financial, marketing, and operational aspects of business performance were all scored highly. Significant positive correlations between online delivery adoption and marketing performance (r =.682, p =.001) and financial performance (r =.520, p =.001) were found by correlation analysis, suggesting that increased use of online meal delivery platforms enhances business performance.
