Abstract

Covid-19 has impacted the mortality of many countries in the world, especially in Kenya. However, correct Modeling Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic Vaccine Apathy on Mortality rates in Kenya has been a considerable challenge, especially when pricing the life assurance and annuities sold in the respective markets. This study aims to Model the Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Mortality in Kenya, which forms a basis for actuarial products pricing and valuations for most health care products sold in these markets. Results will form a basis of regulators and industry players when making informed decisions on Pandemics, and mortality especially lessons for the future, even as the world still battles with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic through the availability of affordable healthcare products.
